Dear Simmers,
Tomorrow will be a very sad day for us Sims 2 simmers, as The Sims 2 website will be shut down tomorrow. It will be taken offline forever. Yes, forever. This does feel a bit like the end of an era. The Sims 2 has always been one of my (and many simmer's) favourite games, and this website was like the place to be for us Sims 2 simmers. Even when The Sims 3 was released this website was still there for the people (myself included) who didn't like to switch to The Sims 3 straight away. After all, The Sims 2 was a lot more fun than The Sims 3 without expansions at the time. But it feels like we do have to move on now. Even though we will always be able to play The Sims 2, it feels like EA is forcing us to leave this game behind us and only play The Sims 3 from now on.
But this isn't only our last chance to say goodbye to just this website, it is olso our last chance to download some of the amazing custom content this website contains.
So please, go for it! Don't even think about your game crashing because of the extreme amount of custom content. Just download whatever you like. It will be worth it.
